Breaking and schooling
Here, at Red Lane Equestrian, we understand that every horse and pony have individual personalities and needs. Therefore, each horse has a personal training regime to suit their age, ability, experience, breed and the way they learn the best.
As every horse is different, the time taken to have a horse backed and trained varies, but as a basic guideline, we expect to have the equine walking, trotting, cantering and hacking out in company within eight weeks. Every horse will be bitted, long lined and lunged before being backed, in order for them to learn basic manners and commands.
Again, the time taken to school a horse depends upon its individual needs. We take problem horses in for schooling and will deal with all kinds of aspects from napping to refusing to jump. We can compete on your horse/ pony for you if required.
You can rest assured that your horse will get the best professional care possible. Bookings are taken all year round for as long or short as you request. Horses are taken in on a full livery basis and worked on five or six days a week. Price is variable depending on time of year and your requirements. Prices start at £100.00 per week.

Holiday livery/ temporary DIY
Have a relaxing holiday knowing your horse is being cared for properly. Full livery basis. Will exercise/ school horse if required. Basic rate £80 per week.
If we have a stable available temporary DIY livery will be considered, £10.00 per day.
Sales preparation
Take the pressure off selling your horse. Let us do the work for you. We can take care of every thing from improving your horse before sale to advertising and riding the horse for potential buyers. Horses taken on full livery basis. For prices please email your requirements.
Horses for sale
We always have top quality Connemara ponies for sale direct from Ireland and occasionally horses for sale on behalf of clients. If you are a potential purchaser please contact us or view our for sale page.
Tuition
Yard manager, Rosie, has a B-TEC National Diploma in horse management with top grades Distinction, Distinction, and Merit. She also has BHS riding and care qualifications including BHS grooms certificate, riding and road safety certificate and her equine specific first aid. She is currently taking training for further BHS qualifications. Rosie competes regularly in eventing, team chasing, dressage, working hunter and showjumping. She also hunts throughout the winter months. Currently Rosie is teaching freelance and is available to teach individual or group lessons. She can travel to your yard or you can have your lesson in the rubber all weather ménage here at red lane equestrian. Rosie is available to teach at pony club rallies. Stable management and care training available.
Individual lessons £20.00 per hour at Red Lane Equestrian or £25.00 per hour if travelling to your own yard.
