Announcements

We are pleased recent ponies we have sold have settled nicely into their new homes and are grateful to their new owners for keeping us informed on progress and sending pictures!

It is also lovely to hear about past ponies of Red Lane Equestrian. Many of whom are out on the showing or BSJA circuit and we are exstremely grateful to all the owners that keep in touch and inform us of their stories! It makes all the hard work and training we put into the ponies to give them a good start worthwhile.

Golden Miller,  15hh 6 yr connemara gelding. He is an absolute diamond. He is palamino in colour which is rare for a purebred connemara! He has an amazing jump. We have taken him hunting and showjumping, and have boxed him up for a hack around the woods. He is really laid back takes everything in his stride. He is very steady so we are feeding him oats and using spurs which has made him a little more forwards, but he is a very safe fun pony that jumps on springs!

Rodney, our 15.1hh connemara gelding is coming on very well. He went to his first Dressage competition in mid January and he was a star, he acted very mature and was very calm trotting around the warm up ring along side 6 or 7 other horses without a care in the world. By the time we came to do the test in the indoor arena he was a little tired but he showed great potential and shown some lovely steps in his test.

Previous pony achievements

Congratulations to Mollie dunn and her new pony Bobby (Glen Valley Boy) purchased from Red Lane Equestrian, they have recently been out showjumping and have gained clear rounds and have been placed in a big entry class! They have also been cross country training which Bobby thoroughly enjoyed! They are soon off to pony club camp were they go swimming in the sea!

Congratulations to Harriet thorpe the new owner of Culliow Charlie. They have recently been out showjumping and came 3rd and 4th on only Charlies second ever outing, he has also been xc training and seems to be really happy and settled in his new home. Well done Harriet and Charlie! (Update..... Harriet has taken Charlie team chasing which he loved and he's been out competing showjumping most weekends and achieving consistent results and clear rounds! This is a horse/ rider combination to watch out for in the future. Well done Harriet Thorpe! Update: Harriet and Charlie won the 3ft 6 jumping class at their last show (January 2012) and are aiming for BSJA soon.

Congratulations to Caroline the new owner of Cooleshall Monty, who has only recently been broken and schooled at Red Lane Equestrian. He has won his dressage test at his first ever outing recently at Hargate arena, and also came 2nd in a showing class two weeks later at his second show! He must be a very happy pony in his new home and has certainly got off to a flying start! Good luck at future events to this exciting horse and rider combination.

Congratulations to Megan Canter and Kipper. They have recently won the BSPS novice heritage working hunter and came 6th in the restricted open with two clear rounds. He is also competitng in hunter trails and ode's with success. I have high hopes for this combination, maybe we will see them at HOYS in a few years to come.

Congartulations to Chloe April Levers and Bobby. He is now often winning his showjumping. He completed hunter trials in the autum season with success! Chloe and bobby have also qualified for showing championships. Good luck to both horse and rider in the coming season, when bobby will be competing as a 5 year old, he obviously has an exciting future ahead of him!

Congratulations to Tyra Aveyard and George (Killtulagh Lad) on their first outing together. They only had one poledown in the showjumping, fantastic result as this was George's first ever show and they had only become a partnership the previous month. Goodluck in the forthcoming season, as Tyra is planning on competing in BSJA with George! I can see this rider and pony combination getting very far!

Update- Tyra and George came 3rd in the 1meter class BSJA recently. Well done!
